Devastation Strikes Papua New Guinea:
A Community’s Resilience Amidst Tragedy

Last month, Enga Province Papua New Guinea (PNG) faced a catastrophic event that shook the lives of its people to the core—a massive landslide rated as one of PNG’s deadliest natural disasters ravaged remote villages and left a trail of destruction in its wake.

The aftermath of the landslide has been devastating. Entire communities have been uprooted, homes reduced to rubble, and essential infrastructure severely damaged. Families are grappling with loss and uncertainty as they strive to rebuild amidst unimaginable challenges.

Resilience in Remote Villages Amidst the chaos, the true spirit of resilience shines through the hearts of the people in these remote villages.

Despite their own losses, local residents have displayed incredible courage and unity, coming together to aid their neighbours and support those most affected by the disaster. Their selflessness and determination serve as a beacon of hope in the face of adversity.
