Holistic Discipleship: Reaching South Asian Peoples for Jesus

People from India now make up the largest group of migrants to Australia, surpassing those from China. When considering the broader South Asian region (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal) and the predominant religions of these areas (Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, Jainism, Baha’ism, Sikhism, etc.), it becomes clear that followers of Jesus need to seize the opportunity to share the gospel with this diverse group. Are we ready to walk alongside people who desperately need the assurance and stability found only in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ?

The SATYA group invites you to join us for our annual conference. SATYA stands for South Asian Tide for Yesu in Australia. Our prayer and hope is to witness a tide of South Asian people coming to a saving faith in Jesus.

As 1 John 3:18 says, “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” For all people, and perhaps even more so for our South Asian friends, it is vital to not only share the gospel with words but to demonstrate its power in our lives through our love.

This year, our SATYA Conference focuses on “Holistic Discipleship.” We invite you to join us as we learn from one another and encourage each other in this important work.

The conference will be filled with biblical teaching and practical wisdom on how to build relationships, love, and evangelize people from Hindu and South Asian backgrounds, so they too can trust and obey Jesus as Lord.
